Bivy Founder Explores Amazon From A Treehouse

This summer, Bivy founder, Vance Cook, took a trip to Peru to explore the Amazon Jungle. Sitting near the capital of the Peruvian Amazon, Iquitos, he stayed at the Treehouse Lodge, which can only be accessed via boat or airplane.

One of the best parts about the Treehouse lodge is the variety of excursions they offer. Sunrises and sunsets with dolphins, fishing for piranhas, monkey sightings, jungle cruises, treehouse canopy walks, bird watching, star gazing, kayaking the Amazon River, or visiting Amazon communities just to name a few.

After a great day of exploring the jungle, Vance spent his off time enjoying gourmet meals and slept in a cozy bed high above the jungle floor. In fact, He said “Just staying in one of the treehouses felt like a real adventure. So many wild things around you but you are safe in the comfort of the treehouse just taking it all in.” The Treehouse Lodge is built to see the rainforest from a rare perspective… the treetop canopy. It’s not unusual to see 5 different species of monkeys, sloths, macaws, parrots, and parakeets at eye level. Seeing monkeys from the ground is pretty cool, but watching 50 monkeys migrate through the lodge from the view of your treehouse or connecting bridges is unlike anything else.

Even though he was far from civilization, Vance was able to stay connected to home with the Bivystick. I’m sure you can relate to Vance… it’s great to unplug and get away from it all, but taking just a minute during your getaway to check in with your loved ones takes a lot of stress away from the trip. Finding peace of mind wasn’t all that hard, even in the heart of the Amazon.

If you’re interested in exploring the Amazon in a truly unique way, the Treehouse Lodge is offering Bivy fans 10% off their stay. Call in, email, or include the promo code BIVY in your booking notes to receive the 10% discount.
